Between January and March 2025, the Tropical Institute of Ecological Sciences (TIES) initiated groundwork for several key projects aimed at biodiversity conservation and environmental education. These included the establishment of a Butterfly Garden at the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) campus in Kottayam, the development of a bioacoustics tool for monitoring amphibian diversity in the Munnar landscape with support from the Centre for Wildlife Studies, and the implementation of various environmental education programmes and field surveys.
