In a remarkable initiative, BVM Holy Cross College and TIES organized an insightful one-day field-cum-lab study program titled "Enjoy Learning" for first-year BSW students. The program, designed to enrich students' understanding of biodiversity conservation, featured engaging sessions and hands-on experiences.
Dr. Punnen Kurian, Secretary TIES, led the inaugural session. Dr. Kurian introduced students to the fundamental concepts of biodiversity conservation, emphasizing its need, importance, and the challenges faced in preserving our planet's rich natural diversity.
Following the enlightening session, students embarked on a campus walk. This immersive experience aimed to acquaint students with eco-friendly architecture and sustainable practices. The highlights of the campus walk included insights into household waste management techniques and the basics of water quality analysis, aligning with the principles of responsible environmental stewardship.
The educational journey continued with a field walk, allowing students to explore the native biodiversity in the surrounding area.
