B. Sc. Botany, second year students of Nirmala College, Muvattupuzha have participated in one-day skill training programme on waste management at households and institutions. 23 students led by faculty members Ms. Sindhu Rachel Joy, Dr. Geenu George and Mr. Sankar P.D, attended the programme. Dr Punnen Kurian, Sarath Babu N B, Soumya S and Anoopa Mathews led the sessions. A demonstration class followed by practical session for various waste management devices conducted. Compost powder (inoculum) were provided to all participants enabling them to initiate kitchen waste management at their homes.
