A fish farming workshop was conducted by TIES, focusing on capacity building initiatives. The training, led by Mr. Surendran Nair, Retired Deputy Director of Fisheries, covered essential topics such as aquaculture introduction, various production systems, suitable backyard fish farming for household needs, fish health management, and more. The participants had the opportunity to engage in an open forum to address their fish farming-related queries. Additionally, a demonstration of two aquaculture models at TIES, including the assembly of a cost-effective filter, was provided. Sarath Babu, NEO at TIES, coordinated the session, which saw the participation of 18 individuals.
