Hands-on training in bacteriological analysis of water

The training was given to the final year B. Tech Civil Engineering students of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT), Govt. Engineering College, Pampady. A total of 66 students attained hands-on training on total coliforms (TCC) analysis of water samples. The training was completed in two batches of 33 students each. The students were given an initial theory session on the importance of water quality analysis, the parameters to be tested, and an introduction to the Most Probable Number (MPN) analysis of water. Afterward, MPN analysis was done by students. The session was handled by Soumya S. The programme is part of academic and research collaboration between TIES and RIT.
