As part of the Green Auditing at ISO standards,
internal audit training was conducted at St. Aloysius College, Elthuruth, Thrissur in
alignment with the crucial 7th criterion of NAAC. This comprehensive audit
focuses on the environment, water, biodiversity, occupational health and
safety, carbon footprint, and energy assessment. The training aimed to equip
the college community with essential skills and knowledge for this extensive
auditing process.
The internal audit training ceremony was inaugurated
by Thrissur Corporation Councilor Smt. Lalie James, followed by an official
address by Dr. Chacko Jose, Principal and Rev. Fr. Arun Jose K., Administrator;
Dr. Libson K. V., IQAC Coordinator; Smt. Vineetha Davis B., Librarian; Mr. Jain
J. Therattil, Coordinator of Green Initiative; and Rev. Fr. Thomas Chakramakil
CMI, Manager spoke during the event. Dr. Punnen Kurian provided an insightful
introduction to the Green Audit and led the training session, setting the stage
for the college’s journey toward achieving a thorough environmental assessment.
The training certified 46 internal auditors, who will
be assigned to conduct the three-month auditing process. The event also
recognized the audit committee, with the committee head receiving special
acknowledgment. Ms. Abhirami K. P., Project Manager of the Green Audit, along
with Ms. Lekshmi Krishna and Ms. Ashly Aniachan, interns from TIES,
coordinated the program.
