The fifth batch of TIES Junior Naturalist Certificate Course (JNC) was inaugurated today by Dr Abraham Samuel K, President, TIES. The course aim to make children more passionate about nature and life through systematic nature studies. The fifth batch commenced with 12 students from the grades 2nd-8th. Dr Punnen Kurian, Secretary, TIES gave the welcome note, Dr Nelson P Abraham, President, TIES gave the presidential address. The course provides children with a deep understanding of natural resources and also knowledge necessary to protect them. The day one started with ice-breaking games and afternoon session was on Birds of Kerala, by Manoj P, along with a field walk.
