A training session on mushroom farming was recently held at TIES, with 27 enthusiastic participants, including Mathew Lukose, Susheela, Lalimma, and Anto, experiencing the preparation of mushroom beds for the first time. The training was divided into two segments: a theoretical session and a practical "hands-on" workshop.The theoretical session covered a range of topics, including: Introduction to mushrooms, Tissue culture, Mother spawn production, Spawn production, Bed preparation, Post-harvesting technologies, Mushroom disease management Participants also received practical training on bed preparation. The sessions were led by Mr. Alex John, Plant Protection Specialist from ICAR-KVK. This training was part of TIES' capacity-building initiatives aimed at enhancing participants' skills in mushroom farming.
