Aravinda Vidya Mandiram, Pallickathodu  hosted the valedictory function of the Wings of Awareness programme, bringing to a close an engaging journey of bird watching, nature observation, and environmental learning for the students. The programme served as a joyful occasion to reflect on the experiences gained through the project and to recognize the efforts of both students and teachers who contributed to its success.

The session was anchored by Teacher Coordinator Ms. Swetha Chandran. The event began with a warm welcome speech by Adinath B, who greeted the dignitaries, teachers, and students and set a pleasant tone for the function. This was followed by the inaugural address delivered by the Principal, Smt. Kavitha R.C., who spoke about the importance of encouraging students to develop a connection with nature from a young age. She also appreciated the initiative and the active participation of the students in the programme.

The valedictory address was delivered by Mr. Ajaya Kumar M.N (Bird Watching Expert,TIES), who shared his thoughts on the impact of the Wings of Awareness programme and the enthusiasm shown by the students throughout the project. He encouraged the students to continue observing birds and learning from nature even after the completion of the programme. Following his address, he handed over the school memento and the project report to the school authorities, symbolizing the successful completion of the initiative at the school.

The function then moved on to the distribution of certificates to the students, which was carried out by Mr. Ajaya Kumar M.N (Bird Watching Expert, TIES), recognizing the top-performing participants for their dedication and involvement in the activities. This was followed by the distribution of appreciation certificates to the teachers by the school head, in recognition of their guidance and support in implementing the programme.

One of the most memorable moments of the programme was the experience-sharing session, during which students and teachers reflected on their journey with Wings of Awareness. They shared how the project helped them understand birds better and develop a greater appreciation for the natural environment around them.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, Ms. Suhaana, Project Officer of Wings of Awareness, delivered a felicitation speech in which she expressed her sincere gratitude to the school management, teachers, and students for their wholehearted support and enthusiasm throughout the programme.

The function concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shikha Jaymohan, who expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the programme. The valedictory function thus marked a meaningful and memorable end to the Wings of Awareness journey at Aravinda Vidya Mandiram.
