TIES was delighted to host 14 internship students from the National Institute for Rubber Training for an enriching learning session at our campus.
The programme began with an introductory session by Dr. Punnen Kurian, Director of TIES, who provided an overview of the organisation and highlighted its diverse initiatives in biodiversity conservation, environmental education, sustainable development, and community engagement.
Following the session, the students participated in a guided nature walk across the TIES campus, where they explored real-life examples of sustainable practices and learned about the ecological importance of native species in maintaining environmental balance guided by Mr. Sarath Babu N. B., Nature Education Officer, TIES. Sri. Anilkumar V., Deputy Director (RPDT), joined the interns during their visit and shared insights into the various activities of TIES.
The students actively engaged in the sessions and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, gaining valuable knowledge and practical exposure to environmental conservation and sustainability practices.
