A training on fish farming was held under the aegis of TIES. The session was led by Surendran Nair, Retd. Deputy Director of Fisheries. Training constituted an introduction to aquaculture, different types of production systems, fishes that can be farmed in our backyards which can be used for home needs, fish health management, etc. There was also an open forum for the participants to clarify the fish farming-related queries and also a demonstration of two aquaculture models at TIES. Sarath Babu, NEO, TIES coordinated the session. The session was attended by 12 participants from different parts of Kerala. This session was a hybrid session, there was an online and offline session during the same time and the main aim of conducting such a session was to equip more people and reach wider demography.
