To establish a sustainable green campus, Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) launched an ISO-standard Green Audit initiative, aligning with the critical 7th criterion of NAAC. As part of this initiative, internal audit training was conducted to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required for a comprehensive and effective audit process. The audit covers key areas such as environmental sustainability, water resource management, biodiversity conservation, occupational health and safety, carbon footprint evaluation, and energy usage assessment.

The training program was officially inaugurated by Principal Prof. Dr. Ajimon George, with formal addresses by Director Dr. Joby Cyriac, Vice Principal Dr. T. V. Muralivallabhan, and Green Audit Coordinator Ms. Suzanna Oommen. Dr. Punnen Kurian, the lead assessor, delivered an in-depth introduction to the Green Audit and facilitated the training sessions. At the end of the session, students presented their assignments and participated in discussions to address arising queries, laying the groundwork for the college's comprehensive environmental evaluation efforts.

A total of 51 participants were certified as internal auditors to carry out the three-month audit. The event also recognized the contributions of the audit committee, with special acknowledgment of its head. The program was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Abhirami K.
