A one-day skill development training programme on " Mushroom Cultivation" was organized at St. Thomas College Kozhencherry. The programme was conducted under the aegis of the Post Graduate and Research Department of Botany in association with TIES. 

The training programme encompassed an introduction to mushroom, mushroom spawn preparation and mushroom cultivation. The training programme also included a demonstration of mushroom bed preparation. The sessions were taken by Dr. Punnen Kurian, Secretary, TIES and Dr. Roshni Susan Elias, Sr. Scientist, TIES

The training was inaugurated by Dr Roy George K, Principal, St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry.  The principal while addressing the trainees emphasized the need for skill development of the young generation for improving their employability. The training was attended by around 81 people including students and teachers.
