TIES at National Science Expo 2026: Inspiring Sustainable Futures Through Exhibition at St. Albert’s College, Ernakulam

The Tropical Institute of Ecological Sciences (TIES) actively participated in the National Science Expo 2026 exhibition organized by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), Government of Kerala, as a part of 38th Kerala Science Congress, conducted from 30 January to 2 February 2026 at St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam.

The Kerala Science Congress, one of KSCSTE’s flagship programmes, is an annual celebration of science and innovation that brings together scientists, researchers, academicians, entrepreneurs, and students to exchange ideas, research findings, and experiences.

As part of the exhibition, TIES set up a dedicated stall showcasing its initiatives and resources focused on environmental conservation and sustainable practices. The stall featured informational display boards, startup kits, organic products, biofertilizers, eco-friendly pesticides, and a range of publications promoting ecological awareness and sustainability.

Prior to the event, training sessions were conducted for student volunteers to ensure effective visitor engagement and smooth management of stall activities. The TIES stall was actively managed by volunteers Navaneeth Krishna P. S. and Akhildev P. S., who played a key role in interacting with visitors and explaining TIES initiatives.

During the exhibition, TIES facilitated the sale of organic products, biofertilizers, eco-friendly pesticides, and publications, helping visitors understand practical and accessible solutions for environmentally responsible living. The stall attracted students, researchers, and visitors from diverse backgrounds creating meaningful awareness about TIES’ ongoing environmental and community-focused initiatives
