Tree Plantation Drive at BHU

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) hosted a tree plantation drive, reinforcing its commitment to environmental conservation. As part of the initiative, Dr. Bindhu B.K., Head of Environmental Engineering at the Tropical Institute of Ecological Sciences (TIES), Kottayam, planted a tree during her visit to the Centre for Environment and Sustainability at BHU.

The event was coordinated by Sri Madan Ram Chaurasia, Environment Project Head of Kashi Province, Bharat Vikas Parishad, along with Ganga Haritima's Brand Ambassador Anil Singh. Dr. Bindhu B.K., accompanied by students, planted a diverse range of trees, including Amrapali and Malika mango, Swarn Champa, Red Plumeria, Red Savani, Tacoma, and Madagascar Palm, in Mahamana’s Garden.

With continuous afforestation efforts, the Environment Institute’s campus has flourished into a lush green space, highlighting BHU’s dedication to sustainability and ecological restoration.
